Students entering qualifying bachelor’s programs at The University of Texas at San Antonio Health Science Center may be eligible for financial support for their tuition and fees under the Bold Promise program.

Bold Promise will be available to eligible students in the following programs at the Health Science Center in the 2026-27 academic year:

What will Bold Promise cover for Health Science Center students?

The Bold Promise program ensures that students have sufficient financial aid to cover 100% of tuition and mandatory fees for up to four academic semesters as they complete the final two years of their undergraduate degrees. Students must maintain academic eligibility to stay in the program.

Renewal and first-time Bold Promise candidate eligibility

Students who currently receive the Bold Promise Scholar designation at UT San Antonio for the first two years of their undergraduate program are considered renewal candidates. To be eligible, renewal candidates must:

  • Submit the 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Not have exceeded the maximum Bold Promise timeframe of eight academic semesters.

Students currently enrolled in qualifying programs at UT San Antonio Health Science Center and who received continuous Bold Promise support during their enrollment at UT San Antonio will be eligible for Bold Promise support in Academic Year 2026-27, as long as they meet the continuing student eligibility criteria.

Initial (first-time) Bold Promise candidates are students who:

  • Are classified as Texas residents.
  • Successfully file their 2026-27 FAFSA no later than March 31.
  • Have family total income up to $100,000.
  • Are successfully admitted and matriculated into an eligible UT San Antonio Health Science Center program.

Students enrolled in 100% online bachelor’s programs or who are seeking a second bachelor’s degree are not eligible for the Bold Promise program.
